This Privacy Policy explains how Land Tech Web Designs, Corp (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Wedding RSVP mobile application (the “App”) for iOS and Android. Wedding RSVP is a free companion app for websites running the Wedding Party RSVP Pro plugin for WordPress.
The App connects to a wedding website that you choose. Most information you interact with in the App — such as the guest list and RSVP responses — lives on that wedding website’s own WordPress host, not on our servers. This policy describes what the App itself processes, what our directory service processes, and the choices available to you.
Who this policy covers
- Wedding coordinators / couples, who connect the App to their own WordPress wedding site and sign in with Sign in with Apple (iOS) or Sign in on website (WordPress account).
- Guests, who open the App using a Party ID provided by the couple. Guests do not create an account.
Information the App processes
Stored on your device
- Selected wedding site address. The URL of the wedding website you connect to, saved on your device so the App can reconnect.
- Coordinator credentials. After you use Sign in with Apple (iOS) or Sign in on website, the selected wedding site issues an application credential that is stored in your device’s secure storage (Apple Keychain / Android Keystore) and used only to make authenticated requests to that same website. You can remove it at any time by signing out.
- Guest session token. A short-lived token tied to your Party ID, used to load and update your household’s RSVP on the wedding website.
- AI feature consent (coordinators). An optional on-device flag when you allow AI tools to share the text you provide for that feature. You can turn this off in Preferences.
Used but not stored by us
- Camera. Camera / photo library can be used to capture or pick photos for the guest photo gallery when the host enables it.
- Those photos are sent to and stored on the couple’s WordPress site
- Hosts can approve/reject/delete; guests can ask the couple to remove photos
- Clipboard. The App does not read your clipboard automatically. On the “Choose wedding” screen you may tap an explicit control to paste an invitation link or join code you copied. Only wedding invitation links and short join codes are used; other clipboard content is ignored.
- Push notifications. If you are a coordinator and choose to enable RSVP alerts, the App registers a push notification token with your wedding website so it can notify you when guests update their RSVP. You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time.
Information processed by our directory service (weddingrsvp.pro)
To connect the App to the correct wedding website, we operate a lightweight directory (“the hub”) at weddingrsvp.pro. When a wedding site registers with the hub, it sends only directory metadata: the site’s URL and title, and optionally a logo and general location (such as city/state). The hub also issues short join codes used to pair the App with a site.
Guest lists and RSVP data are not sent to or stored by the hub. That information remains on the couple’s WordPress host.
Diagnostics and crash reporting
The App uses Sentry (a third-party service provided by Functional Software, Inc.) to collect crash reports and diagnostic information that help us find and fix problems. This may include device type, operating system version, app version, and technical details about an error, and — only when a crash occurs — a limited visual snapshot of the App. We configure Sentry to mask on-screen text and images and to avoid collecting personal identifiers, so guest names, emails, and similar details are obscured. This data is used solely to maintain and improve the App’s stability. Crash reporting is disabled in development builds. See Sentry’s privacy information at https://sentry.io/privacy/.
Sign in with Apple (coordinators, iOS)
On iOS, coordinators may use Sign in with Apple after selecting a wedding with a join code. The App sends Apple’s identity token (and, on first authorization, your name and email if you choose to share them) to the selected wedding website. That site verifies the token with Apple’s public keys, creates or links a WordPress coordinator account on that site, and returns an application credential for the App. Apple processes Sign in with Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. Sign in on website remains available as an equivalent option. Guests continue to use Party ID only; Android coordinators use website sign-in.
Optional AI features (coordinators)
Some coordinator tools in the App (for example improve reminder wording, suggest guest tags, thank-you drafts, natural-language guest filters, and wedding ops suggestions) may send the text you provide for that action from the App to your connected wedding website. That site may then send the text to the AI provider configured by the site administrator under WordPress Settings → Connectors (for example OpenAI or Anthropic via the WordPress AI Client).
Before the first AI request, the App explains what may be sent, who may receive it, and asks for Allow or Don’t allow. You can turn sharing off later in Preferences → Allow AI features to share text. Land Tech does not host your guest list or receive AI prompts from the companion. If AI is unavailable on the wedding site, those buttons return an error and no third-party call is made.
Seating “suggest seats” uses on-site seating rules and does not send data to a third-party AI provider.
How we use information
We use the information above only to:
- connect the App to your chosen wedding website and keep you signed in;
- display and update guest and RSVP information on that website at your direction;
- deliver optional coordinator notifications; and
- diagnose crashes and improve the App’s reliability.
How information is shared
- With your wedding website. Requests you make in the App are sent to the WordPress site you connected to, using your credentials or guest token.
- With service providers. We use Expo’s push notification service to deliver notifications and Sentry for crash diagnostics, each only for the purposes described above.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Data retention
Information stored on your device (site address, credentials, tokens) remains until you sign out or uninstall the App. Directory metadata held by the hub is retained while a site remains registered. Guest and RSVP data are retained by the couple’s WordPress site according to that site owner’s practices, not ours. Crash diagnostics are retained by Sentry per its standard retention periods.
Your choices and rights
- Sign out to remove stored credentials and tokens from your device.
- Turn off notifications in your device settings at any time.
- Delete your coordinator account: in the App, go to Preferences → “Delete my account.” This revokes the App’s access credentials and marks your account for removal on the wedding website. Guests do not have accounts; guest RSVP data is managed by the couple and stored on their wedding website.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because most guest data resides on the couple’s own website, requests about that data may need to be directed to the couple or the site owner. For information we control, contact us using the details below.
Children’s privacy
The App is intended for adults planning or responding to wedding events and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
The App and our directory service may process information in the United States. By using the App, you understand that information may be processed in a country with different data protection laws than your own.
Security
We use platform secure storage for credentials, require encrypted (HTTPS) connections to wedding websites, and limit the information our directory service holds. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect information appropriately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, through the App or our website.
